Bio
Charles Lutwidge Dodgson, better known by his pen name Lewis Carroll, was an English author and logician whose playful mastery of language and paradox reshaped Victorian storytelling. His Alice books—Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking-Glass—along with nonsense poems such as "Jabberwocky" and The Hunting of the Snark, married fantasy, wordplay and formal logic to create a mischievous, subversive voice. Drawing on his background in mathematics, Carroll devised puzzles, linguistic games and narrative sleights that continue to invite scholarly interpretation and popular adaptation. His inventive blend of whimsy and rigor helped establish literary nonsense as a lasting genre and secured an enduring place in world literature.
